What we’re asking for

We have outlined three priorities for Tasmania’s mental health system which would help people access timely mental health support, provide necessary funding certainty, and reduce the pressure on a health system at breaking point.

  • Commit to funding certainty for community managed mental health services.
  • Commit 5% of the mental health budget to prevention and promotion.
  • Commit to prioritising improvements in service coordination across the system.

This election, I am voting for candidates who prioritise the mental health and wellbeing of all Tasmanians – not just through their words but with actions!

I stand with the Mental Health Council of Tasmania, calling for:

  • Funding certainty for community organisations.
  • Greater investment in prevention, promotion, and early intervention.
  • Ensuring no Tasmanian misses out on the support they need.

This is your chance to show your support too – because mental health affects us all. Are you with me?
