Room availability, accessibility, and size:

The Mental Health Council of Tasmania (MHCT) meeting room is available to use for MHCT Members, and can be
hired by other organisations and community groups under the following terms and conditions:

  • Available Tuesday to Friday between 9.00am and 4.00pm – subject to availability. PLEASE NOTE: This includes set up and pack down times.
  • We are unable to accommodate bookings on weekends or Mondays.
  • Room dimensions: 8m X 7m.
  • The meeting room is accessible by a lift and stairs. The main toilets are accessible by stairs only with
    accessible toilets on the ground floor.

To make a booking:

  • Please read the conditions of use, complete the following Room Hire form
  • Once your booking is confirmed, a tax invoice (if applicable) will be sent to you, with payment due in 7 days.
  • Cancellations within 24 business hours are non-refundable.

Conditions of use:

  • Your contact person must be 18 years and over and be present at your meeting.
  • The distribution or serving of alcohol is strictly prohibited.
  • MHCT must receive a current Public Liability Certificate of Currency at least 24 hours prior to your event.

Inclusions:

  • MHCT can provide tables and 20 chairs, audiovisual equipment suitable for video conferencing and
    presentations, and whiteboard. MHCT does not supply laptops.
  • The use of a small kitchenette which has a bar fridge, cold filtered water, boiling water, cups, spoons, glasses,
    small plates, tea, coffee, and sugar.
  • Signage in the main foyer and entrance to MHCT.

You are responsible for:

  • Setting up the room for your preferred configuration
  • Milk and any catering
  • Attendee behaviour, tidying the room, cleaning the tables, washing, and drying all dishes and tidying the
    kitchenette.
  • Any injuries or loss

Fees:

  • MHCT member organisations – no charge
  • Non MHCT members – $60 per hour or $200 for a full-day
