We will be launching an online Creative Art Exhibition that showcases the amazing work our clients have produced in painting, ceramics and creative writing. The exhibition will be available for the month of October. The theme ”We all have a role to play” is evident in the support and nurturing apparent in the classes where participants learn from each other and grow from the support and encouragement they gain, even more so than from the facilitator at times. Clients barracking for each other is infectious.
As an organisation we have reflected on the role we play and continue to embrace the notion that we all struggle at times with mental health challenges. Reducing stigma about mental health continues to be our goal. Our recent promotion of “We’re all Mental” ties in with the role we all have to play in checking on each other and our clients. Promoting utilizing our creative side to connect and provide a therapeutic outlet is one simple way to show it doesn’t matter who you are we all have a role to play in fostering well being.
