SUMMARY:Exhibition opening - IN MIND\, a Hunter Island Press project
DESCRIPTION:Over the past year\, artists from Hunter Island Press have visited the Ladies Cottage at Willow Court in New Norfolk\, drawing inspiration from its spaces and layered history. \nAs Australia’s oldest and longest continuously operating asylum (1827–2000)\, Willow Court holds deep historical and emotional significance. This exhibition presents a series of personal artistic responses to the site’s complex past and themes surrounding mental health. \nThe exhibition will be open to the public 3-12 October 10am – 4pm during Mental Health Week. \nEveryone is welcome to meet the artists on Saturday 11 October 12pm-2pm for an opening event. \nThe exhibition will continue Fridays through Sundays\, every weekend until November 1\, 2025. \nDownload the flyer.
