SUMMARY:Mentally Healthy Girls and Women in Sport - We all have a role to play
DESCRIPTION:Experience has shown that pressure placed upon women and girls by coaches\, parents and often by themselves in sporting environments\, can have long term detrimental effects on self esteem\, sense of self and body image among other things. \nThe goal of this event is to identify how and why this can happen and to develop both personal and club wide strategies to promote a mentally healthy sporting environment. \nExperienced sports psychologist Lydia Black will be running a session for sports participants at 2.30pm followed by one for parents\, coaches and club officials at 3.30pm. All participants are then invited to stay for food and networking from 4.30-5.30pm Booking required due to COVID 19 number restrictions
