SUMMARY:Mindful Walk & Working Bee for Mental Health Week
DESCRIPTION:Join Conservation Volunteers Australia in celebrating Mental Health Week and take some time out! We will be at Whitestone Point\, a beautiful spot with great views of the timtumili minanya (Derwent River). \nThis event is for any of you who would like to take a break and spend time outside in nature. We have two great activities planned – a mindful walk and an easy working bee at the same site. \nWe’ll start with a mindful walk led by Sandy King\, which will take us around our old planting site\, mainly on flat ground (but with some uneven terrain)\, and last for about 30 minutes. \nSandy is an Advanced certified Jivamukti yoga teacher and the Founder of the Golden Yoga School teacher training. We had a wonderful time at our last Mental Health Event and are excited to welcome Sandy back! \nWhen we get back to our starting point\, we will look after the land during our working bee. We will do some planting\, maintenance and watering. \nAll training\, gloves\, tools\, and morning tea will be provided to participants – just bring an open mind 🙂 \n***Please note we require all participants to wear long pants\, a long-sleeved shirt\, fully enclosed shoes and a hat.*** \nIf you have any questions or would like to book a group of volunteers\, please contact Janine on jyoung@cva.org.au \nPlease register through the ‘Learn More’ button below\, or click here.
