DESCRIPTION:Let’s dance and move during Mental Health Week. An introductory program to creative dance and movement developed for you to complete ‘at your own pace’ and at home. \nLevel: Introductory (no previous dance experience required) \nDuration: 8 weeks \nLocation: Online \nWhat is Creative Dance and Movement? \nCreative dance provides an environment for creative growth through a movement-based experience\, with the intention of exploring expressive ways to move the body\, through expressive techniques such as improvisation\, guided dance and movement\, and visual arts activities. \n”A dance and visual arts program” \nTHE PROGRAM \nTopic 1 Introduction\nThis topic will introduce you to the program\, to develop awareness of the body and breath in movement. \nTopic 2 Growth\nOur second topic will provide more in-depth movement sequences and provide a space for expanding creative expression. \nTopic 3 Embody\nThe final topic will guide you to understand and develop your own movement vocabulary\, and how to continue to incorporate this practice into your life. \nLive Session\nA final session where we all come together in week 8 (via zoom) and participate in a live movement workshop. \nThe program is for individuals and groups.\nRegister via: www.movementproject.net/register\nor get in touch to register your community group or cohort at hello@movementproject.net

SUMMARY:Eureka Clubhouse Open Day
DESCRIPTION:Eureka Clubhouse supports people experiencing mental ill-health to live well in the community. \nThe Eureka Clubhouse is part of a national group of consumer-led services that use the International Clubhouse Model to provide viable support mechanisms for people to connect within the community as an alternative to traditional clinical mental health services. \nThe support includes increasing social inclusion by providing access to education and training opportunities\, and developing life skills. Eureka Clubhouse aspires to support members to increase their quality of life and to access a wide range of activities relating to social inclusion. \nFor Mental Health Week 2021\, Eureka Clubhouse will hold a full open day which will start at 9.00am and finish at 4.00pm. The open day will include the unveiling of a clubhouse mural\, live music\, sporting activities\, cooking classes\, fitness classes\, adopt a plant giveaways\, clubhouse tours\, healthy refreshments\, barista\, and Housing Connect\, Mental Health Services and Disability Employment information stalls. Everyone is welcome including those who are interested in learning more about the clubhouse or becoming a member.
