SUMMARY:Poetry for the Soul reading event and competition
DESCRIPTION:Our Mental Health Week event\, centered around a poetry competition and reading with the theme ‘Space’\, invites participants to explore the concept of space in various forms\, whether it’s mental\, emotional\, or physical. \nThe key focus of the project is creating a safe writing space for emerging voices with a lived/living experience of mental health issues to express their experience through writing\, prompting a shift in focus away from diagnosis towards recovery and creativity. \nThis year we also want to increase our audience\, with a reading event to be held at Hobart Library. \nEntries to the Poetry Competition close Wednesday 3 September 2025. \nReading event will be held on Monday 6th October 2025 at the Hobart Library\, 1:00pm-3:00pm. \nEnter the competition\, and/or register for the reading event\, by clicking here. \nFlyer-Poetry-for-the-Soul-Workshop-July-2025
